Bluesci Support are commissioned  to provide wellbeing services  – delivering Healthy Lifestyle support within community social settings. This is achieved through locating wellbeing services within North South and Central Trafford run by and for the benefit of the local community. They are in PartingtonBroomwoodOld Trafford and Sale. Trafford residents are free to use whichever one they wish.

 

Providing:

  • An environment for community groups to work with shared values and ethical practice.

  • Role modelling an assets based approach within the community.

  • An advocacy role for inivative practice & outcomes

  • Wellbeing support in a social setting

  • Creative opportunities for statutory/commissioned services to work in authentic partnerships with community groups to achieve shared health outcomes.

Trafford Healthwatch are the independent health & social care Services champion for the people of Trafford. They gather and represent your views to show where they are doing well and where they can be improved.

Mental health

Trafford Extended Service (TES) is a specialist, multi-disciplinary, community-based team providing a range of National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) -compliant interventions and support including:

  • An autism diagnosis service, with focused post-diagnostic and group support

  • Consultation, supervision and training to individuals and services who need assistance to develop skills working with people with adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism

  • Diagnosis, pharmacological intervention and focused support for service users with adult ADHD, in particular for those clients in transition from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)

  • Care coordination for a small number of Autism/ADHD service users with complex presentations whose needs cannot be met by other mainstream teams

  • Consultant psychiatrist-led medication advice for primary care service users with complex common mental health issues

Trafford Life Coaching Project offers free Life Coaching at Trafford CIL

for adults living in Trafford who have a learning disabled and/or Autism

The Sanctuary provide 24-hour support to adults who are experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, depression, suicidal thoughts or are in crisis.The Sanctuary offers a space to talk and assistance with coping after the initial crisis.

This service is available to residents (ages 18+) living in Manchester, Trafford, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Glossop, Bolton, Wigan and Leigh.

The Aspirations Project at Autistic Society Greater Manchester provide social and leisure activities for individuals with Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism. The project is open to people from the age of 10 years and upwards – with no upper age limit.
