As an ex-teacher, I’ve always been passionate about allowing the voices of young people to be heard, rather than assumptions be made about their desires, by the adults involved their lives. Too often the young have choices made for them without any consultation, despite being able to make rational decisions about their lives. That is a common problem in society in general, but when it comes to young people who have Special Educational Needs and/ or Disabilities (SEND), that b
